Welcome

Welcome to leavingcare.tv, a resources site for professionals working in the field of Social Care and inclusion for Young People. Please accept our apologies in advance for any "glitches" with the new site. It would be helpful if you could notify the site administrator so any problems can be resolved quickly.

The main developments include links to the National Through-Care Network Discussion Forum and Events Diary.

The new Discussion Forum
This is now split into subgroups allowing you to identify discussions of interest by topic: Finance, Accommodation, Legal Issues, Unaccompanied Asylum Seekers, Employment - Education -Training, Assessment and Planning, Standards etc. Rather than being bombarded with emails you can pick and chose which discussion threads you wish to read and then decide if you wish to add your own comments to the thread. We hope you take the time to register and use this facility along with the other 300+ Leaving Care Managers, Social Workers, Personal Advisers and Academics already registered with the discussion forum.

Events Diary
This has been re-designed to show at a glance what events are being staged across the U.K as well as regionally. It is open to all the regional leaving care forums as well as other professionals who are involved in supporting care leavers or who offer training in specialist areas such as: housing/accommodation,  health/mental health, education/training, new legislation, research findings into practice. If you wish to publicise a forthcoming event/conference in the diary please send details and/or pdf of flyer and application form via email to admin@leavingcare.tv.
